Don Gibson Named in the #Risk Europe CISO Power 100 Index

We’re thrilled to announce that our Chief Information Security Officer (CISO), Don Gibson, has been recognised as one of Europe’s top cybersecurity leaders by being included in the prestigious #RISK Europe CISO Power 100 Inde. 

The CISO Power 100 Index celebrates individuals who have redefined the role of the modern CISO, transforming it from a technical gatekeeper into a strategic architect of business resilience and innovation. 

Joining Kinly in 2023, Don is an accomplished cybersecurity leader with extensive experience in building and transforming security programmes across diverse sectors. Don oversees all aspects of security, including compliance, vulnerability management, testing and embedding security into customer-centric design processes.  

He is also the driving force behind Kinly launching the AV industry’s first open and unified Security Standards, a free and verification-ready framework designed to help organisations secure modern AV environments from design through to operation. 

Don is recognised for his pragmatic approach to cybersecurity, prioritising initiatives based on risk, ROI and organisational capacity. He advocates for cybersecurity as a business enabler, not a blocker, and champions diversity and mental health within the industry. His leadership emphasises strong stakeholder engagement, clear communication of technical concepts to non-technical audiences and building resilient, high-performing teams. 

Beyond his role at Kinly, Don is an active industry speaker, Gartner C-Level Communities Board member, a contributor to various external advisory committees and is a DJ and label manager for the Cyber House Party collective. He is passionate about innovation, vendor evaluation strategies and leveraging automation  to optimise resources
