Kinly's Third Annual Charity Golf Day Supports MS Society
On Monday Kinly UK hosted its annual charity golf day at Ashford Manor Golf Club. This was the third year Kinly UK has been supported by its amazing partners and staff to raise money for a worthy cause, this time in aid of the MS Society, a world-leading research charity.
Again, the weather was supporting the cause and 17 teams took part in a Texas Scramble style tournament with just a taste of competitiveness!
The familiar bacon breakfast greeting was combined with goody bags, raffle tickets and a chance to buy a ‘Mulligan’ or free shot for the course. Then the teams warmed up on the practice greens and driving range in preparation for the 11.30 shotgun tee off.
This year, in an addition to the usual format, a team of people with little or no golf experience were able to participate in golf lessons with the club’s professionals whilst the teams were busy competing to be the winning team on the day.
The usual excitement ensued with special prizes up for grabs on specific holes if anyone BEAT THE PRO or secured a hole in one, including a 4 person, two night golf stay in the UK, a holiday in Portugal and the chance to win £25,000, something that was left unclaimed for another year! Additional prizes for the longest drive and nearest the pin were on offer, with the winners scooping a new driver and putter, respectively.
In the end a combined team of Lenovo and TD SYNNEX won out, beating one Team Kinly to the top spot!
Once the final putts were sunk, guests were treated to a BBQ, prize giving ceremony and raffle. Our thanks go to Kinly’s Charity Team and the golf club for organising the day and to all participants which included our key UK partners: Appspace, Exertis, HP Poly, Logitech, Midwich, Neat, Nuvias UK, Peerless-AV, Pexip, QSC, Samsung and Sony.
Matt Keen, Commercial Director UK & Ireland at Kinly, comments: “Now in its 3rd year we are grateful for the support this event gets from our partners and distributors. Over 120 people attended the day, and our staff enjoy this opportunity to get together with everyone for a great cause. This year we expanded the experience to include dedicated lessons for 20 novice golfers whilst the teams were enjoying the competition on the course.”
Stacey Moore, UK Charity Committee Lead at Kinly, said: “I am so proud of the team that works hard to make this event a success every year. The commitment from our partners is wholeheartedly appreciated by Kinly and we are so proud that we raise all this money for another deserving charity. Congratulations to all the winners, we hope you will join us again next year.”
