Following the merger of Yorktel and Kinly, Yorktel is now Kinly. All references to Kinly within this article encompass the work of Yorktel during the pandemic. For many organizations, the global pandemic acted as an unforeseen springboard forcing the advancement of remote collaboration & video communications. The downside is that with the rush of this there were regular horror stories being told about the transition, the technology and how painful it was for many organizations to implement quickly. That’s why hearing Microsoft’s CEO Satya Nadella specifically mention the work Kinly was able to accomplish in helping organizations with this transition & leveraging technology during the pandemic really stands out.
The pandemic may seem like a dim and distant memory, but it has become a defining marker in terms of economic and social activity. It led to the suspension of travel and live events and ushered in the era of remote and hybrid working on a scale never seen before. But that was then, and things have moved on rapidly in the last couple of years.
Kinly is delighted to welcome six new female colleagues into technical roles within the Benelux team. In an industry and function typically dominated by men, this represents an important step in the right direction for creating inclusive careers in Kinly and AV.
It’s hard to think of a more fitting location for our innovation expo than the Science Museum in London. Standing amidst over 100-years of technological history, I found myself thinking about AV’s evolution and how far we’ve come, even in the last ten-years!
